What We Believe

Overview of some of the core Biblical fundamentals that we hold to

·THE BIBLE

We believe that the Holy Bible, as originally written, was vebally and plenary inspired and the product of Holy Spirit controlled men, and therefore is the only infallible rule for all human conduct, creeds and question.

II Timothy 3:16,17; II Peter 1:19-21

·JESUS

Jesus was not just a ‘great man’ or an important teacher. He is the only begotten Son of God. He was miraculously born of a virgin. He was both fully God and fully man. He is co-eternal with the father, as the second person of the trinity. We believe that he died on the cross, was buried and was bodily resurrected on the third day. He ascended into heaven, exalted by the God the father and presently intercedes unto us.

                                                 John 1:1-2; Rom 5:8-11; Acts 1:9; Heb 7:22-25

·MANKIND

We believe that mankind fell with Adam, so everyone is essentially born into bondage of sin. We cannot save ourselves (not by good behavior, or feeling spiritual, or force of will). Despite our unworthiness, God loves each of us and wants us to be saved.

                     Rom 3:23; Rom 5:12; John 3:16

·SALVATION

We believe that salvation is the great spiritual work of God. It is divinely initiated and wholly by grace thru the voluntary and mediatoral work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. His death was our substitute for our sins, and his shed blood fully satisfied the just demands of a holy and righteous God. Each individual must respond by repentence and faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ

                       John 14:6; Rom 10:13; Eph 2:8-9

·BAPTISM BY IMMERSION

We believe that baptism is a single act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s identification with Christ in burial and resurrection unto new life.

                              Matt 28:18-20; Acts 8:39; Rom 6:3-5

·DOCTRINE OF LAST THINGS

We hold to a dispensational method of interpreting the Bible, and to the pre-rapture, pre-millennial return of Christ for His church.

                               I Thess 4:13-18, Rev 3:10,; Rev 20-22
